Made for the moments that take you beyond the garden. The BSTRD. Compact has the capability of the larger ovens - sear, roast, direct or indirect, low and slow - in a size you can lift into the car. Built-in cast-iron carry handles, a robust stand with carry cradle, and the same premium ceramics and heat deflectors as its bigger siblings.

Care & use

Use natural lumpwood charcoal only - other fuels can contain chemicals that taint the ceramics.
Never fill the charcoal basket more than three-quarters full.
Light the charcoal in one spot and bring the oven up to temperature slowly with the vents part-open; a fast heat-up can damage the ceramics.
Before opening the lid, crack it 3 cm for five seconds to let it 'burp' and avoid flashback.
Keep the oven to 200 C for its first three cooks. To self-clean the interior, run it to 315 C with the dome closed (never on a new or long-unused oven).
After a period without use, heat slowly to a maximum of 200 C for an hour to drive out moisture from the ceramics.
Do not use chemical cleaners or water on the ceramic or the gasket - wipe gently.
Store side tables and wooden inserts indoors when the oven is covered for long periods.

Quick and straightforward to set up. The BSTRD. Compact requires minimal assembly. The BSTRD. arrives mostly pre-assembled, with only the stand and a few components needing to be fitted. Clear instructions are included so you can have your BSTRD. ready to cook in no time.

Kamados and cooking units are delivered on a two-person service: once you've ordered we'll call you to agree a delivery day that suits, and tell you what to expect before it arrives.

Warranty. Every BSTRD. ceramic body carries a 20-year warranty. Register yours within three months of purchase to activate it.

Returns. 30 days to change your mind, in original condition and packaging. Email shop@waresleyparkestate.co.uk before sending anything back and we'll confirm how. Full detail in our refund policy.
