Once or twice a week after cleansing, apply to face and neck avoiding the eyes. Leave 5–15 minutes (a slight tingle is normal), remove with a damp cloth and follow with oil or cream. Wear SPF.

Key ingredients: Lactic acid, mandelic acid, rice bran oil, oat kernel oil, balloon vine extract, aloe vera.

VOTARY is an independent British skincare brand founded by make-up artist Arabella Preston and Charlotte Semler. Products are made in small batches in the UK (the Vitamin C Glow Serum is made in Switzerland), are vegan and cruelty free, and come in glass bottles and FSC-certified boxes.

The brand is best known for oil cleansing and for formulas that are gentle on sensitive skin. Several products, including the Nutrient Creams, Super Bright Eye Gel and Radiance Reveal Mask, are fragrance free.
